THE World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) has been awarded the Industry Excellence Award (Services) by the Federation of Malaysian Business Associations (FMBA) at the Malaysia Industry Awards 2025 (MINDA 2025), held last night at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

The prestigious accolade underscores WTCKL’s continued commitment to excellence within the Business Events sector and its leading role in elevating Malaysia’s convention landscape.

The award was presented by Dato' Hairil Yahri Yaacob, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), alongside Dato’ Hjh Emmy Suraya, President of Peniagawati, and Colonel (PA) Dato’ Seri Dr Abdul Malik Abdullah, FMBA Chairman.

Organised by FMBA in conjunction with the ASEAN Business Community Dialogue (ABCD) 2025 and ASEAN Business Networking Minds, MINDA 2025 is part of the broader celebration of Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship, uniting leading business figures from across the Southeast Asian region.

This year’s ceremony held special significance as it coincided with ASEAN’s 58th anniversary on 8 August 2025, celebrating regional unity and economic cooperation.

“We are deeply honoured to receive this prestigious award, which not only recognises our team’s unwavering dedication to service excellence but also reinforces WTCKL’s role as a pioneer in Malaysia’s convention centre landscape,” said WTCKL Group Managing Director Dato’ Sri Dr Haji Irmohizam bin Haji Ibrahim.

“This recognition further validates our mission to lead industry trends, deliver exceptional client experiences, and champion Business Events that align with both national and regional priorities.”

WTCKL reaffirmed its commitment to contributing to the growth of Malaysia’s Business Events industry and to positioning the country as a global hub of choice. The organisation continues to prioritise relevance, drive innovation, and maintain excellence across all events hosted at the venue. - August 8, 2025
