TIKTOK Shop has launched a RM180 million initiative to promote Malaysian products, support digital entrepreneurs and improve access to affordable household essentials, becoming the first e-commerce platform to partner with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) in expanding the government's Rahmah sales concept into the digital marketplace.
The initiative was unveiled during the "Pesta JomLokal 2026: Lokal Jaga Lokal" event, which brings together local entrepreneurs, merchants, content creators and industry stakeholders to strengthen Malaysia's digital commerce ecosystem and enhance the competitiveness of home-grown brands.
The programme also supports the objectives of the Jom Beli Produk Malaysia (JOM MALAYSIA) campaign launched on June 27, which aims to turn support for locally made products into a nationwide movement involving the government, digital platforms, businesses, entrepreneurs, content creators and consumers.
As part of the event, TikTok Shop also introduced the Jualan Ihsan RAHMAH programme, enabling consumers to purchase 75 essential household products at discounted prices through selected retailers, including Hero Market and KedaiFGV, via its online platform.
Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said the collaboration marks the first time the government's Rahmah sales initiative has been integrated into an e-commerce platform, expanding access to affordable goods beyond physical sales locations.
Under the RM180 million commitment, TikTok Shop will introduce vouchers offering discounts of up to 30 per cent on selected essential items, implement zero commission for 56 product sub-categories while reducing platform fees for another 39 categories, and provide RM2 shipping rebates for eligible nationwide purchases.
Armmizan said the measures are intended to lower operating costs for sellers while reducing the cost of online shopping for consumers, creating benefits across the digital retail ecosystem.
The festival also features initiatives to strengthen the capabilities of local entrepreneurs through business development programmes, including Creator Matchmaking, the Merchant Development Ecosystem Learning Centre, TikTok Shop LIVE Hub Studio Access and the JomTanamLokal campaign.
The Minister added that the government would continue strengthening strategic partnerships with industry players to expand private sector participation in promoting Malaysian products while supporting the livelihoods of the people through more affordable goods and greater income-generating opportunities. - June 30, 2026
