CFD broker JustMarkets is offering clients access to MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) through a browser-based WebTerminal, removing the need to install trading software.
The company said the platform allows users to access their trading accounts from different devices, including when they are away from their usual computers.
The WebTerminal provides access to charts, indicators, orders and open positions, with users able to open and close trades through a web browser.
JustMarkets said the service may be useful for traders who regularly switch between devices or cannot install software on a particular computer.
The platform supports both MT4 and MT5 and can be accessed using an internet-connected device.
However, the WebTerminal does not provide all the functions available on the desktop versions of MetaTrader.
Traders who use Expert Advisors, for example, would still need to use the desktop platform.
JustMarkets said the WebTerminal is intended to give clients another way of accessing their accounts as browser-based trading platforms become more widely used.
The company said the service gives traders greater flexibility in accessing their accounts without having to install or configure the desktop trading platforms.
