KUALA LUMPUR – Bursa Malaysia eased in early trade today, tracking a weaker Wall Street close last Friday, as well as subdued trader participation.
At 9.05am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI slipped 10.75 points to 1,616.26 after easing 1.66 points to 1,625.35 at the opening compared with Friday’s close of 1,627.01.
On the broader market, losers outpaced gainers 278 to 186, while 310 counters were unchanged, 1,322 untraded and 13 suspended.
Total volume stood at 419.16 million units worth RM149.36 million. – Bernama, January 18, 2021
