KUALA LUMPUR – There’s another exciting offer to encourage Malaysians to register for the Covid-19 vaccination.

New tenants of Homevest Living, GFG Group and the iBilik Room Rental Listing platform who are registered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme are eligible for a month-long free room rental in the “Register for Vaccine, Get 1 Month Free Room Rental Subsidies” campaign.

In a statement, the companies said the collaboration was launched to encourage the public to participate in the government’s vaccination programme in order to achieve the targeted 80% or 25 million Malaysians innoculated by year-end.

Homevest Living chief executive officer Marcus Low said the accommodation providers understand that their tenants might face challenges paying rent due to financial constraints resulting from the loss of income or unemployment.

“We are also offering additional perks such as zero deposit and free utilities to all tenants to help them relieve their financial worries for a short period while waiting for the movement control order (MCO) to be lifted and the economy to get back on track,” he said in a statement.

A total of 7,600 rooms are being offered for the campaign as part of the companies’ corporate social responsibility initiative.

To enjoy this, potential tenants need to rent and show the group their registration proof via the MySejahtera app within the campaign period, from June 15 to July 31.
