KUALA LUMPUR – Bursa Malaysia’s overall market remained in mixed territory at mid-afternoon, despite benchmark index FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rebounding to positive.
At 3.01pm, the index was 4.24 points higher at 1,616.38 compared with yesterday’s close of 1,612.11.
The index opened 3.09 points higher at 1,615.20.
Across the broader market, losers had the upper hand over gainers 571 to 554, while 427 counters were unchanged, 619 untraded and 88 suspended.
Volume stood at 7.12 billion shares worth RM3.33 billion.
The plantation segment recorded the highest decline, contracting 1.30%, while the technology index soared 1.27%.
Of the top 30 companies listed on FBM KLCI, Sime Darby Plantation shed 16 sen to RM5.05, Maxis declined 3 sen to RM5.09, Hartalega slid 6 sen to RM14.60, Genting Malaysia was down 7 sen to RM2.53 and Tenaga Nasional Bhd shed 8 sen to RM10.92.
Among the actives, Kanger added 1.5 sen to 19.5 sen, AT Systematization inched half a sen to 20.5 sen and Metronic climbed 1 sen to 12 sen. – Bernama, November 27, 2020
