TOKYO – Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga today said that Japan will compile an additional economic package, the Xinhua news agency reported.
"We will maintain employment, keep businesses going, revive the economy and open a path to growth including through green and digital technology," Suga said of the package at a meeting of the government and ruling parties.
The package will be to the tune of US$707 billion (RM2.8 trillion) and is aimed at mitigating the negative economic impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
