KUALA LUMPUR – Bursa Malaysia opened lower today, but rebounded thereafter, taking a cue from US stock indices’ mixed performance on Friday.
Wall Street ended mixed as optimism over an immediate solution in relation to a US stimulus package faded.
At 9.12am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI gained 3.45 points to 1,688.03 from Friday’s close of 1,684.58.
It opened 2.12 points easier at 1,682.46.
The overall market breadth was positive, with gainers leading losers 394 to 350, while 381 counters were unchanged, 1,019 untraded and 22 suspended.
Volume stood at 979.9 million units worth RM533.51 million. – Bernama, December 14, 2020
