IN the 10 years of her disappearance and silence in the country’s entertainment industry of the country, various speculations and assumptions were raised by some parties about superstar Anita Sarawak, or more affectionately known as Kak Nita.

Among them is that she is said to have divorced her husband, Mahathir Abdullah, suffered from cancer, gone bankrupt – she was even alleged to have migrated and started wearing the hijab.

The fact is, the speculations and assumptions were incorrect.

The respected international performer is still happily married to Mahathir Abdullah since August 2001.

This was made evident by the message received by Kak Nita's foster brother, Shuib Taib, who is working as an English editor at Bernama yesterday morning, at about 9am.

Shuib's birthday greeting to Mahathir Abdullah via Whatsapp message has been answered.

“Thank you so very much Shuib. We miss you,” said Mahathir.

The sentence that reads ‘We miss you’ used by Mahathir clearly proves that their marriage is still intact.

The text did not stop there.

Mahathir continued: "No matter what, we love you. We think about you and talk about you a lot, a very special person. Blessings to your family… ”.

Only God knows how upset Shuib felt at the time.

"I feel overwhelmed and happy. I am thankful that Kak Nita and abang Mahathir's hearts are finally open to answer my WhatsApp messages.

“From 2011, when Kak Nita disappeared and kept to herself, she has never once called me or messaged. But I never once forgot to send greetings on New Year's day, birthdays as well as their wedding anniversary.

"All the messages were read but not answered. However, for as long as I’ve known Kak Nita, I have grown to understand her temperament very well. That's how she is – if he doesn't want to be disturbed.

"We have to let her be and respect her privacy. Surely, one day she will return,” said Shuib when contacted by the Getaran. My portal.

According to Shuib, Kak Nita and Mahathir are in good health. They, too, want to enjoy a normal life like others.

"Anyway, I did not expect Allah SWT would answer my prayers. Every day after prayer, I never stopped asking for Allah SWT to open their hearts.

Tup-tup, yesterday abang Mahathir replied to my message. Alhamdulillah, I am very, very grateful,” said Shuib who has known Kak Nita for 31 years. – The Vibes, June 22, 2021
