LOCAL indie quintet The Banditz will be the headlining act for the upcoming Mojo Live Jam concert featuring India-based bands Masala Coffee and Staccato.

The concert, which is the third in a series of concerts organised by Mojo Projects, is set to kick off tomorrow at Zepp KL, here in Bukit Bintang.

Known for their dynamic stage presence and infectious rhythms, The Banditz seamlessly combines elements of pop, reggae, and hip-hop music with evergreen Tamil hits in a quintessential fusion.

Speaking to the media at the Madras Club, here, yesterday, The Banditz’ founder and bassist Jeffrey Antony Dass and lead singer Lingges promised that the band’s song list will have the audience grooving all night long.

“The band is truly looking forward to this and we have prepared a playlist comprising our popular numbers that we are confident of performing and captivating our audience and fans.

“The Banditz are looking forward to entertaining all of you. The other bands are looking forward to doing so, too,” said the band.

Apart from the local flavour, concertgoers can look forward to performances by renowned Indian bands, Masala Coffee and Staccato.

Known for their electrifying performances and infectious energy, Masala Coffee has become a force to be reckoned with in the indie music industry.

Despite identifying as an alternative folk-rock band, Masala Coffee performs across various genres – comprising Indian folk, blues, pop and rock.

Although they primarily compose original music and covers in Malayalam and Tamil, the band also performs in Hindi as well.

Masala Coffee has also made a name for itself through the music they’ve composed and performed for Tamil movies including Solo, Uriyadi and Mundina Nildana.

Chennai-based Staccato prides itself on blending popular songs with traditional compositions. They aim to make it more palatable and refreshing for their fans.

Staccato represented India at the 2012 Olympic Games in London and World Freestyle Percussion event. The band continues to serenade its fans by popularising the contemporary classic genre by seamlessly infusing its own flavour and contemporary twist into nostalgic Indian film music.

"We are thrilled to present the third round of the Mojo Concert Series – Mojo Live Jam.

"This concert promises to deliver an unparalleled experience, allowing music enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the diverse sounds and talents of these exceptional bands, with dancing and a club vibe brought to you in an intimate space. It's a night you won't want to miss,” said Mojo Projects CEO Ratna K. Nadarajan.
