OVER 400 people recently attended a flag-raising ceremony in conjunction with Merdeka month in Bandar Seri Sendayan, Seremban in Negri Sembilan.

The event was organised by developer Matrix Concepts Holdings Sdn Bhd to deepen the sense of patriotism among Malaysians, strengthen community relationships and underscore the significance of this national celebration.

Chief executive officer of Matrix Concepts Chai Keng Wai said the event also illustrated the company’s dedication to fostering Malaysia as a nation of dignity and unity across all communities.

Among those present were representatives from the Seremban City Council, the Royal Malaysian Air Force, Seremban District Police, Mambau Police, Fire and Rescue Department, various community groups such as the Village Development and Security Committee, students from nine neighbouring schools, as well as religious groups.

During the event, the organiser also distributed 5,000 Jalur Gemilang to participants, encouraging them to proudly display the national flag at their premises.

Additionally, 500 pots of Hibiscus saplings were distributed, emphasising the significance of the Hibiscus flower as Malaysia’s national emblem. – August 15, 2024.
