NSCMH Holdings Sdn Bhd in Seremban recently launched a private placement to part-finance Phase 2 of CMH Specialist Hospital's redevelopment, which includes a new medical block.
According to Negri Sembilan Chinese Maternity Association (NSCMA) president Datuk Seri Lee Tian Hock this represents 30% (RM45 million) of the medical block’s construction cost.
"The remaining RM80 million will be financed through bank loans, personally guaranteed by myself, with corporate guarantees provided by the Negri Sembilan Chineses Maternity Association and NSCMH Holdings Sdn Bhd. This complies with the NSCMA’s constitution and does not involve any hospital’s land or buildings as collateral," he said.
Lee became the first subscriber with an RM25 million investment for 10 million shares.
The Seremban Wah Chai Association and Negeri Sembilan Persatuan Hainan pledged their support with investments of RM1 million and RM250,000, respectively.
The private placement is now open at RM2.50 per share, with a minimum subscription of 100,000 shares. The subscription period runs until Sept 6.
"It is important to emphasise that, even after the completion of this placement, the NSCMA will still retain 69% controlling interest, maintaining its leadership position and fulfilling our promise to remain steadfast in our commitment," said Lee.
Once completed, the new medical block will enable the hospital to increase the number of beds from the current 66 to 166, expand the number of specialist clinics from the current 16 to 45, offering patients more choices and shorter waiting times.
Lee said this marks a significant leap in both our medical capacity and facility upgrades.
"We plan to hold the groundbreaking ceremony for Phase 2 in March 2026, with completion targeted for June 2029, and full operations to commence in January 2030," he said.
He said the exercise was more than just a fundraising exercise.
"It is a once-in-a-century opportunity — offering every member of the hospital family the chance to be part of a grand vision for the next century.
"I sincerely invite all of you to invest in the hospital’s future — to help transform CMH Specialist Hospital into a leader in advanced medical technology and high-quality healthcare services, while upholding our century-old tradition of compassion and professionalism," he added. - August 18, 2025
