FOR nine rescued cats, June 2026 marked the beginning of a brand-new life.
Over two successful "Give Them a Home" adoption events organised by Cat Supermarket, these cats were matched with caring families, proving that when a community comes together, lives can truly be changed.
Inspired by this encouraging response, "Give Them a Home" will now become a monthly Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme for Cat Supermarket, beginning July 2026.
The initiative is supported by Evocat Cat Food as the main sponsor, CS Vet Medical Centre, together with Melaka Strays Guardian Alliance (MSGA) and Pertubuhan Pencinta Hidupan Melaka (PPHM).
The monthly adoption programme will be held at Cat Supermarket, Bukit Baru, Melaka, on the last Saturday of every month, from 1 pm to 5 pm.
Through the "Give Them a Home" programme, Cat Supermarket hopes to give these cats a second chance while encouraging responsible pet ownership and raising awareness about animal welfare.
Datuk Chew Chert Fong, who is the CEO of Cat Supermarket, said the success of the first two adoption events, where nine rescued cats found loving families, proved that our community truly cares.
“Every adoption represents hope—not only for the cat but also for the family who welcomes a new companion into their lives.
“At Cat Supermarket, we believe our responsibility goes beyond providing quality products for pet owners,” said Chew.
