HEAVY rain for a few hours this afternoon has left several locations in Kajang town and its surrounding areas to be hit by flash floods.

Based on video footage uploaded on social media, among the locations hit by flash floods are Jalan Raja Haroun and the Kajang Market.

Other areas are in Jalan Sri Jelok leading to Kajang Prison and Taman Sri Reko.

There were several vehicles which were found stranded due to flash floods near the Kajang market.

Bangi MP Syahredzan Johan confirmed that Kajang had been hit by flash floods.

“Due to heavy rain, many places in Kajang and its surrounding areas have been hit by flash floods creating traffic jams. Everyone be careful,” he said on X, formerly known as twitter. – May 8, 2024.
