Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has indicated to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim that they (GRS) intend to work with Pakatan Harapan (PH) Sabah for the upcoming state election.

"My focus is unity. That’s why I formed GRS, bringing together eight parties, big or small, to move forward as one," Hajiji said during a Christmas luncheon with Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah on Saturday.

However, Hajiji’s comments come amid tensions within the coalition, as PH component Sabah DAP reviews its cooperation with GRS.

This follows ongoing corruption allegations involving several GRS leaders and a feud with Sabah BN.

Sabah DAP chairman Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe has been granted a mandate to evaluate the alliance and is expected to present his findings and recommendations to the state PH leadership soon. - December 15, 2024
