DATUK Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob who was rushed to hospital yesterday after he was found unconscious at home is conscious and in stable condition.

According to his press secretary Azran Fitri Rahim, the former prime minister is however, under observation by doctors at the hospital.

"Doctors have also prohibited any visitors for now and only family members are allowed to visit him," he said.

The 65-year-old former prime minister was rushed to the Sunway Medical Centre Kota Damansara at 2.30am yesterday.

It is believed that the former Umno vice-president's condition was precipitated by high blood pressure.

Ismail Sabri served as the ninth prime minister from 2021 to 2022.- February 23, 2025
