Amirudin urges those with evidence of wrongdoings related to pipeline fire to come forward

SELANGOR's Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, has appealed to the public to come forward with any evidence related to wrongdoings concerning the gas pipeline fire in Putra Heights on Tuesday, which caused extensive damage to property.

In a statement issued today, Amirudin urged individuals with relevant information to assist the authorities by sharing their findings with the police.

He stressed that such contributions would be vital in helping the authorities uncover the cause of the gas pipeline leak and subsequent fire, which had devastating effects on the surrounding area.

“The state government, along with the local government authorities, is offering full support for this investigation.

“The safety, well-being, and comfort of the affected residents remain the top priority for both the state and federal governments,” Amirudin said.

Earlier, Selangor’s Police Chief, Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, confirmed that the police would be looking into reports of land excavation activities as a possible cause of the fire.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. – April 2, 2025
