PULAI Member of Parliament Suhaizan Kaiat is in stable condition after successfully undergoing gallbladder removal surgery at a private hospital in Iskandar Puteri on Thursday.
Johor Amanah chairman Aminolhuda Hassan expressed gratitude to all who had extended their prayers and support for Suhaizan's recovery.
“Amanah Johor is thankful that Suhaizan Kaiat’s condition is improving after undergoing the gallbladder removal procedure,” he said in a statement. “We also extend our appreciation to everyone involved, including the medical team, Pulai parliamentary officers, Amanah Johor staff, community leaders, and individuals who ensured his care and safety.”
The party also acknowledged the concern shown by Suhaizan’s colleagues and local dignitaries, including Singapore’s Consul-General Ng Kuan Khai and Skudai MP Liew Chin Tong.
Suhaizan had earlier been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) on Monday night after his oxygen levels dropped due to a bacterial infection. While his condition was reported as stable, doctors recommended continuous monitoring before proceeding with surgery.
In light of ongoing public interest, Amanah Johor urged the public to stop circulating speculation and unverified updates about the MP’s health.
“Disseminating inaccurate information only creates panic and fuels confusion through misleading narratives,” the party said.
Suhaizan is expected to remain under medical observation during his recovery in the coming days. - May 1, 2025
