THE Ministry of Communications has received RM21.87 million in sponsorship pledges from 113 strategic partners to support the 2025 National Day and Malaysia Day (HKHM) celebrations, said Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil today.

Fahmi, who also chairs the HKHM 2025 Main Committee, said the contributions include RM1.9 million in cash and RM19.97 million in in-kind sponsorships such as goods and services. These will be channelled into festivities scheduled for 31 August in Putrajaya and 16 September in Penang.

“All sponsorships, whether monetary or in-kind, will go towards enhancing the atmosphere and scope of the celebrations throughout National Month,” the minister said during a formal handover event.

The support, according to Fahmi, reflects “strong collaboration between corporate entities, government-linked companies, NGOs and Malaysians from all walks of life, regardless of race, religion or age, at every level from community to national”.

The Ministry expressed its appreciation for what it described as an “extraordinary show of support” for this year’s celebrations.

Also present at the event was the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Communications, Dato’ Seri Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa, alongside representatives of the strategic partners. - August 22, 2025
