BUDGET 2026, scheduled for presentation on 10 October, will incorporate measures aimed at creating a more sustainable and improved ecosystem across various sectors, said Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.
He explained that the proposed adjustments would be shaped by feedback gathered through the Budget consultation council, which commenced in August and engaged multiple stakeholders.
“The Cabinet has yet to be briefed on the consultation outcomes, but within a week or two, we expect to receive some indications,” he told the media after launching WWF Malaysia’s National Campaign, JOMPACT, and Youth Outreach Programme at the Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia (IPG) Kampus Bahasa Melayu in Kuala lumpur today.
“Through the consultation process and based on the feedback, some adjustments will be made, especially for sectors that have voiced their views to the government,” he added.
The Minister of Communications described this year’s consultation as inclusive, reflecting the Madani government’s attentiveness, sensitivity, and responsiveness.
“This is evident in the government’s readiness to swiftly amend policies or implementation when necessary,” he said, citing the BUDI MADANI RON95 initiative as a prime example, where Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced several relaxations for fishermen and small boat operators. - September 27, 2025
