PRIME MINISTER Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has shared that he is recovering well from a recent bout of back pain that left him temporarily unwell.

In a brief post on Facebook on Monday, Anwar expressed gratitude for the public’s concern and prayers.

“‘Healing’ with my grandchildren. Alhamdulillah, I am gradually recovering,” he wrote, thanking Malaysians for their well wishes.

The Prime Minister’s Office had earlier announced that Anwar was forced to cancel his scheduled visit to Pahang on Sunday after being advised by his medical team to rest due to his back condition, which had limited his movement.

Anwar’s post, accompanied by a photo of him spending time with his grandchildren, has since drawn widespread messages of support from Malaysians wishing him a speedy recovery.- November 3, 2025
