THE Shah Alam Syariah High Court has today issued arrest warrants for the founder of the eHati household motivational programme, Nur Diyanah Md Tahir, and a counsellor, Zatul Asmah Mat Isa, following their failure to appear in court without explanation.

The order was issued by Syariah Judge Dr Zainal Abidin Kusmin after the prosecution requested that warrants be issued against the duo.

The court further directed that immigration authorities trace the programme founder, who resides in Damansara, while granting powers to the Islamic religious enforcement agency to apprehend the counsellor, who also serves as an officer in a local government authority in northern Peninsular Malaysia and is based in Nibong Tebal, Penang.

Nur Diyanah’s guarantor, who appeared in court, stated that she was unaware of her friend’s whereabouts.

“I have not been in contact with her for a long time and do not know where she is. I have known her since 2021 and became her guarantor out of sympathy, as she had no family present.

“I apologise, as I did not know it was my responsibility to ensure her attendance,” she told the court.

The case has been scheduled for mention again on 5 March 2026.

The warrants follow reports that Nur Diyanah and her husband, also facing charges, allegedly fled abroad on 14 November, a day before their scheduled court appearance, according to Selangor Police Chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar.

Investigations revealed that 95 individuals had previously been called to give statements regarding the organisation of the eHati programme at a convention centre in Section 15, Shah Alam, in September last year.

The police probe also found that the controversial “Queen’s Night” segment involved nudity, with four facilitators participating.

In a related case, a counsellor, Siti Zaama Rizal Boss, 49, was fined RM4,000 by the Syariah High Court after admitting to exposing her body during a motivational programme in a manner that demeaned Islam.

Siti Zaama, who is currently unemployed, told the court she had been grappling with personal marital issues at the time of the offence.

“I am ashamed of myself, feel low, and have been carrying this trauma alone. I only wanted to rid myself of these feelings and regain confidence, and at that time, I was unaware of the wrongdoing,” she said.

Unable to afford the full fine, Siti Zaama, who is unrepresented, said she could only pay RM500 as neither she nor her husband are employed.

The offence, which took place at a Shah Alam convention hall between 8pm and midnight on 29 September, contravenes Section 10(a) of the Selangor Syariah Criminal Enactment 1995. Conviction under the law carries a maximum fine of RM5,000, up to three years’ imprisonment, or both. - November 26, 2025
