A PERODUA Myvi involved in a car show at a shopping mall in Klang, Selangor caught fire on Sunday.

Based on a video that went viral, the fire broke out a few minutes after a fiery exhaust show from another vehicle.

The video, which lasted more than two minutes, showed sparks from one of the cars, which are believed to have started the fire.

The sparks were later seen spreading to a Perodua Myvi parked nearby, which was eventually engulfed in flames and destroyed.

According to the Assistant Director of Operations of the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar, the Perodua Myvi was 90 percent destroyed in the incident at 9.25pm.

"The fire involved two cars, a Perodua Myvi and a Toyota Vios. The fire was successfully extinguished by firemen.

"This fire did not involve any casualties," he said, adding that another car was only two percent burnt. – December 22, 2025
