POS Malaysia yesterday confirmed that the Road Transport Department (RTD) will no longer distribute printed Motor Vehicle Licenses (road tax) starting February 1, 2026.

This means that the service to print them through Pos Malaysia kiosks will also be discontinued on that date.

The RTD has previously said that the road tax and Malaysian Driving License (LMM) can now be displayed via the MyJPJ application if they are requested by officers.

RTD first introduced the digital road tax in February 2023 as part of a move to phase out traditional stickers and paper slips.

Just last week, it was reported that citizens can now request to have their driving license cards physically printed for a fee of RM20.

A physical license may be required if users want to register for an International Driver’s License to drive abroad.

Pos Malaysia has also said that those who still want a Motor Vehicle License sticker will need to print it at Pos Malaysia locations before 1 February 2026, before the service is discontinued. – January 27, 2026
