PRIME MINISTER Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is set to embark on a one-day working visit to Kuantan, underscoring the government’s continued emphasis on direct engagement with local communities and strengthening policy delivery at the district level.

The visit will begin with Friday prayers at Masjid Saidina Umar Al-Khattab, where the Prime Minister is expected to meet and interact with residents.

He will then chair the Kuantan District Development Meeting at the district and land office, focusing on strategies to enhance local economic growth, improve public well-being, and ensure more effective implementation of national policies.

In the afternoon, Anwar will attend the Himpunan Anak Pahang MADANI at the UTC Kuantan compound, which is expected to draw more than 7,000 youths from across the state.

The gathering is designed to encourage critical thinking, civic awareness, and direct dialogue between young people and national leaders on shaping Malaysia’s future.

The evening programme will shift focus to cultural heritage with the Himpunan Pendekar MADANI Pahang at the SUKPA Complex.

The event will bring together Silat masters, instructors, and practitioners from across Pahang, highlighting efforts to preserve traditional martial arts while promoting discipline, unity, and a shared sense of identity.

According to the Prime Minister’s Political Secretary Ahmad Farhan Fauzi, the dual focus on youth empowerment and cultural heritage reflects the broader Malaysia MADANI vision of nurturing future generations while safeguarding national traditions in an era of modernisation. - April 2, 2026
