A SECURITY guard was killed in a brutal assault at a housing complex in Bandar Bukit Raja on Sunday morning.

The victim, a local man, was reportedly attacked with a blunt object by a male assailant.

According to Klang North District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner S. Vijaya Rao, the incident took place around 1am today, and police were alerted shortly thereafter.

The victim, who suffered severe injuries from the attack, was rushed to Shah Alam Hospital for treatment.

"However, the victim was pronounced dead at 4:18am while receiving medical care," said Vijaya Rao in a statement.

Initial investigations suggest the incident stemmed from a dispute between the victim and the suspect at the security post.

The assailant allegedly used a blunt object, believed to be a car lock iron, to attack the victim, causing fatal injuries.

Upon receiving information, a team of officers from Klang North Police Headquarters located and arrested a man in his 40s in connection with the attack.

“The police also seized a car lock iron, which is believed to have been used in the assault,” added Vijaya Rao.

A background check on the suspect revealed eight prior criminal records, including two related to drugs.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which deals with murder. - April 5, 2026
