KUALA LUMPUR – All learning institutions under the Education Ministry, as well as private ones registered with the ministry, including international schools, will open according to the 2021 academic calendar.

In a statement yesterday, the ministry said the dates can be referred to on its website, while the reopening of private institutions is based on their respective calendars.

“This involves educational institutions nationwide, including in areas under the conditional movement control order.”

It said the operation of all learning institutions is subject to “the management and operation of teacher education institutes and matriculation colleges” in the new norms guidelines.

The ministry said it will continue to monitor the situation, along with the Health Ministry and National Security Council. – Bernama, January 3, 2021
