PAKATAN Harapan (PH) is aiming to increase the number of seats it wins in the Johor state election, building on the 12 constituencies the coalition secured in the 2022 polls.

PH Communications Director Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said the coalition would work tirelessly throughout the campaign to improve on its previous performance.

"For PH, we will do our very best, starting from the 12 seats we won in the 2022 Johor state election.

"Certainly, we hope and will work hard to ensure we increase that number. As for Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), we begin with one seat, Bukit Batu," Berita Harian cited Fahmi telling reporters after the JIWA@Komuniti Madani Sembang Santai FIFA World Cup 2026 programme at the Parit Jawa Public Market on Sunday.

Also present was PH's Sungai Balang state assembly candidate, Soraya Badaruddin.

His remarks came a day after Barisan Nasional (BN) declared its own ambition to increase its seat tally in the Johor election.

Fahmi, who is also the Member of Parliament for Lembah Pantai, described the 14-day campaign period as a significant opportunity for PH to strengthen its appeal to voters.

"God willing, we have plans, strategies and several ideas that will be presented.

"Yesterday, PH Secretary-General Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail announced that the coalition's Johor manifesto will be unveiled and launched within the next few days.

"From that, I believe we will demonstrate that PH is serious about forming the Johor state government and winning more of the seats it is contesting," he said. - June 28, 2026
