PAKATAN Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim congratulated Barisan Nasional (BN) on securing the mandate of the Johor people in the state election.

He said the trust given by Johor voters must be carried out responsibly in the interest of the state and its people.

"Congratulations to Barisan Nasional on the mandate given by the people of Johor.

"The election and democratic process had come to an end, and it was now time for all parties to move forward by prioritising service and responsibility towards the people," the prime minister said in a Facebook post.

Anwar expressed his appreciation to all voters and Johor residents who had fulfilled their responsibilities, including the election machinery members who worked hard throughout the campaign.

He also urged all PH candidates, regardless of whether they won or lost, to continue serving the people and bringing forward their voices.

"The federal government also remains committed to ensuring the development agenda and the well-being of Johor's people continue to be strengthened and improved, InsyaAllah," he added. – July 12, 2026
