A SPORTS YouTuber and football commentator in his 40s sustained serious injuries, including a fractured eye socket, after he was allegedly attacked by two unidentified men at a petrol station near Bandar Sri Damansara on Saturday.

Petaling Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Shamsudin Mamat said police received information regarding the incident at 7.56pm.

Preliminary investigations found that the victim was inflating his vehicle's tyres when he was approached by two men riding a Yamaha LC motorcycle with an unconfirmed registration number.

"The suspects repeatedly assaulted the victim before recording a video of the incident and fleeing the scene," Shamsudin said in a statement on Monday.

He said the victim suffered a fractured eye socket and several other injuries as a result of the assault.

Police are still investigating the motive behind the attack, while efforts to trace and identify the two suspects are ongoing.

The case is being investigated under Section 325 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt.

Members of the public with information on the incident have been urged to contact the nearest police station or the investigating officer, Inspector Muhammad Danish Noor Azri, at 013-6201412 to assist in the investigation.

Shamsudin also advised the public against making statements or sharing material related to the incident on any platform if it could interfere with police investigations. - July 13, 2026
