THE 10 former Negeri Sembilan executive councillors whose appointments were revoked have returned their official vehicles following instructions from the state secretary.
They have also stopped going to their offices at Wisma Negeri since the revocation was gazetted last Thursday.
Former EXCO member Datuk Mohd Asna Amin, who spoke on behalf of the group, confirmed that they had complied with the directive.
“Since the gazette was issued, I have not used the official vehicle. We received a letter from the state secretary instructing us to return the vehicles.
“We complied with the instruction. It’s all right, whatever the instruction,” said the Lenggeng assemblyman.
The former EXCO offices at Wisma Negeri, however, continue to operate, with their officers and staff still reporting for work.
“The former EXCO members no longer come to the offices at Wisma Negeri. All the assemblymen are operating from their respective constituency service centres.
“Only the officers and staff continue working here at Wisma Negeri,” revealed an officer.
The appointments of the 10 EXCO members were revoked effective Sept 20 with the consent of Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir.
The revocation followed statements by the EXCO members affirming a proclamation concerning the removal of Tuanku Muhriz.
The 10 former EXCO members were later called to Bukit Aman to have their statements recorded at the Negeri Sembilan Islamic Religious Council (MAINS) Tower on Monday as part of investigations into the matter.
Besides Mohd Asna, the nine others are Datuk Mohd Faizal Ramli, Datuk Mustapha Nagoor, Datuk Zaifulbahri Idris, Siow Kong Choon, Siti Nur Umaira Hasim, Datuk Mohd Razi Mohd Ali, Suhaimizan Bizar, Mohd Fairuz Mohd Isa and Datuk Razali Abu Samah.
Meanwhile, Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim had an audience with Tuanku Muhriz at Istana Hinggap in Seremban yesterday.
The meeting came amid the continuing crisis involving the state administration and the Negeri Sembilan customary institutions.
Ismail has yet to comment on the outcome of the meeting or disclose what was discussed. – September 30, 2026
