Police rearrest motivational speaker as second woman files harassment report in Perlis

A 19-year-old woman lodges a fresh police report prompting police to rearrest a 34-year-old motivational speaker upon the expiry of his initial remand in Padang Besar

POLICE in Kangar have received a second report against a 34-year-old motivational speaker, this time filed by a 19-year-old woman alleging harassment.

Perlis Police Chief Deputy Commissioner Hamzah Hashim confirmed that the latest report was lodged yesterday, with investigations launched under Section 509 of the Penal Code, Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act.

The suspect was previously held under a separate remand order linked to a police report filed in Padang Besar, which expired today.

Hamzah stated that upon completion of the initial remand, the suspect will be granted police bail before being immediately rearrested by the Intelligence and Operations team from the Kangar District Criminal Investigation Department for further action.

He added that the suspect will be brought to the Kangar Magistrate’s Court on October 5 by the investigating officer to secure a new remand order to assist ongoing enquiries into the fresh allegations.

It was reported earlier that the motivational speaker implicated in alleged sexual harassment and grooming of underage victims will be released on police bail today following the expiration of his remand period.

Hamzah earlier confirmed that the suspect’s two-day remand order ends today, with his release scheduled for this afternoon upon completion of procedural requirements.

He stated that the motivational speaker's remand period ends today and he is being granted police bail, adding that he will be released this afternoon after the remand procedures are concluded.

The suspect was produced before the Kangar Court Complex yesterday, where Senior Assistant Registrar Mohd Amiruldin Roslan granted a two-day remand order to assist ongoing police enquiries.

The arrest follows widespread revelations on social media by several female victims who alleged they were subjected to sexual harassment and emotional manipulation by the married motivational speaker.

According to reports, the suspect allegedly approached victims via TikTok under the guise of work or academic opportunities before soliciting them to become sugar babies and check into hotels. - October 4, 2026
