UNSUBSIDISED RON95 will rise 15 sen a litre to RM4.67 from tomorrow, widening the price gap with subsidised petrol under Budi95, which remains capped at RM1.99 a litre.
The Finance Ministry (MOF) said the higher unsubsidised rate, together with a 15-sen increase in RON97 to RM5.15 a litre, will take effect from midnight tonight and remain in force until 11.59pm on Oct 14.
The latest revision means eligible Budi95 users will continue to pay RM1.99 a litre despite the increase in the market-linked price of RON95.
RON95 supplied under the Subsidised Petrol Control System (SKPS) will also remain at RM2.05 a litre.
Diesel prices are unchanged for the week, with unsubsidised diesel staying at RM5.27 a litre, while Budi Diesel remains at RM2.10 and diesel under the Subsidised Diesel Control System (SKDS) at RM2.15 a litre.
The government raised the basic monthly Budi95 eligibility quota to 300 litres from Sept 1, while the overall usage limit for pickup truck and four-wheel-drive owners under the diesel subsidy programme was increased from 300 litres to 400 litres.
The latest announcement is the 42nd weekly fuel price revision of 2026 and the 345th since the weekly pricing format was introduced in 2019. - October 7, 2026
