SHAH ALAM – Ahead of the Selangor Legislative Assembly today, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the main agenda will be on plans to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.

The assembly is scheduled to sit for nine days from today.

Amirudin, in a video on Twitter yesterday, said Covid-19 will be among the topics to be debated apart from the royal address of the state ruler, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

He said the plans will address the challenges brought by the coronavirus, and safeguard Selangor’s economic resilience and capability as the country’s pillar of strength in its development and progress.

He also called on all state assemblymen to conduct the debates in an orderly manner and contribute to providing suggestions to the state and federal governments in the face of the pandemic.

The opening ceremony will take place with strict adherence to standard operating procedures, and be attended by around 150 people compared with 500 previously. – Bernama, August 23, 2021
