ALOR STAR – Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir is urging Kedah Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor to lodge a police report over the latter’s claim that his predecessor had transferred RM13 million in Kedah Menteri Besar Inc funds to an offshore account.

Speaking to the media after the state assembly session today, Sanusi had claimed the funds were transferred to an account in Canada back when Mukhriz was menteri besar.

“This is the first time I’m hearing about this incident. So, I would like to suggest Sanusi file a police report if he really believes that this happened.

“In today’s assembly session, he was reprimanded for making controversial statements. So, in making such a statement during a press conference, it is a serious allegation,” Mukhriz said.

“We hope we can get an official statement because he (Sanusi) should not have made this  accusation just like that, as if it was a hit-and-run.

“The allegation needs to be proven and I don’t even know what the story is. I am waiting for an official statement on the allegations,” he told an online press conference today.

Sanusi made the claims after saying that Mukhriz had brought up old issues in the assembly.

“I have never told anyone about this (RM13 million)… only today I am revealing. That is an old issue, which I have never raised before. I’m still keeping the transfer slip,” Sanusi had said. – The Vibes, September 21, 2021
