Two hikers missing at Cherok To’kun hills, SAR ops ongoing

BUKIT MERTAJAM – Penang Fire and Rescue Department personnel are still on the lookout for a man and woman who have gone missing at the Cherok To’kun hills near here since 1pm today.

The duo in their 20s – who went hiking in the morning – are believed to have lost their way, and had called the Fire and Rescue Department for help.

The rescue team talked to the two and they were asked to share their location, after which a rescue mission was launched immediately.

Operations officer Mohamad Najib Hashim said the search-and-rescue (SAR) operation will continue looking for the missing duo. – The Vibes, November 3, 2021
