KUALA LUMPUR – The government has decided to enforce the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) in one location in Lahad Datu, and extend it in five localities across the country.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, in his daily briefing today, said the movement curbs will be imposed in Kg Sabah Baru after the Health Ministry detected 102 Covid-19 cases there.
The EMCO will start tomorrow and be in effect until November 23.
“The EMCO will affect 701 houses and 3,917 residents.
“The standard operating procedure is the same. The EMCO is done to allow the Health Ministry to conduct targeted screening.”
The same order is extended in five localities – the Mutiara Kasih flats and Taman Khazanah Indah in Lahad Datu (until November 23), and Plaza Hentian Kajang in Hulu Langat, Putra Point in Nilai and Kg Hj Baki in Kuching (November 24).
Meanwhile, Felda Umas Kalabakan and Taman Sg Emas will see their EMCO end today and tomorrow, respectively. – The Vibes, November 9, 2020
