PETALING JAYA – The way Nuralkaisar spoke of her ordeal would make people think she had battled a cat. However, this was not the case.
Known affectionately as Cik Nur, she had apparently survived a crocodile attack.
In a video that has gone viral, Cik Nur animatedly spoke of what happened from her hospital bed.
The incident was said to have happened at Sungai Ramuan China in Masjid Tanah, Melaka where Cik Nor had gone with some friends at 3pm on Friday.
In a voice note sharing which had been circulated widely on WhatsApp, she had been bitten on the leg while attempting to dock her boat.
The recording said they believed the crocodile was “Pak Itam”, a name used to refer to saltwater crocodiles or “buaya tembaga”.
In the video of Cik Nur herself speaking of the incident, she said when she felt something graze her leg, she reached for it and felt its mouth.
She said the minute she felt a mouth, she grabbed it and held it shut.
"With one hand still holding the boat, my other hand held its mouth shut. Then it started to pull me to the middle (of the river)," she said.
Cik Nur said she tried to kick the crocodile away but it refused to budge.
“I tried to pull my leg away, then I twisted its nose. That was when it let me go, I turned my body away and headed towards the boat,” she said.
Cik Nur said that she was told by the doctors she had a broken bone between her shin and ankle and other than that, she was fine. – The Vibes, September 3, 2023
