DATUK Kamil Othman and Manvir Victor discover what possibly may be new approaches for Malaysian filmmakers and learn of the ideas and reasons behind some of the long-term plans from film producer Sara Nattaya Azmi.

Gadis Jolobu will be one of the 12 movies we will see from this team as they travel the breadth and length of Malaysia to promote our language, culture and stories to the world.

Gadis Jolobu is just the beginning of a long-term journey to put local movie makers on the global stage with private funding. As we have shared in previous episodes, the national plan for this has been found wanting, hence a fresh new approach is necessary.

Will this be the way forward in an industry desperate for funding and support?

As usual, if you have any comments or suggestions, please tweet @manvirvictor with your thoughts.
