ONLY eight countries remain in the FIFA World Cup to fight for the world’s biggest prize, and everyone already has their predictions set in place on which teams will make it through to the end.

Could it be Brazil – itching to claim their sixth title after failing to do so in 2014 as host? (Yes, Germany fans, we remember.)

Or England, who are desperate to finally “Bring it home” since their sole victory in 1966?

Portugal could prove that they are more than just a team with star player Cristiano Ronaldo on their side. (But sometimes on the sidelines, as well.)

Join us in today’s episode with The Vibes chief news editor and ‘Iron Lady’ Khaw Chia Hui in the studio to talk about how the World Cup has become a good distraction in the newsroom from the weeks-long 15th General Election coverage.

We name our predictions for what the final will look like. But given how the tournament has been going so far, anything can happen and rest assured, something will happen.

Mind you, we are not experienced football commentators, nor are we football pundits, but just a bunch of people who enjoy the game. – The Vibes, December 9, 2022
