KUALA LUMPUR − Nur Dini Uzma Abdullah − the sole woman rider from the Tobaki Pink Racing Team (TPRT) − is eyeing just one podium finish in the Wira KBS category of the Malaysia Cub Prix 2022 Championships.

The 17-year-old said it was a realistic target considering that this will be her first full season after being able to compete in only two races last year.

Apart from targeting just one podium finish, Dini also hopes to maintain her performance so as to be able to collect points in every round of this season’s Cub Prix.

“The hope for this year is to try to collect points for the team… I will also try to aim for a podium finish because that is my dream,” she said when contacted today.

Dini, who rode for team SCM in the Yamaha One Make NVX Challenge last year, said she is not afraid of competing in the male-dominated Wira KBS class and, in fact, feels that it is a level playing field.

“All the challengers can be said to be of the same level. This year, there are many new riders and when I compete in the Wira KBS class, I must fight with everything I have,” she said.

Meanwhile, her decision to compete in the Malaysia Cub Prix won’t stop her from staying focused on her studies for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination next year.

She said she would do her revisions whenever she had time off from the circuit.
