BANGKOK – Sensational national sprinter Muhammad Azeem Mohd Fahmi advanced to the men’s 100m final at the 2023 Asian Athletics Championships at Suphachalasai National Stadium in Bangkok today.

The 19-year-old clocked 10.35s and finished second in the first semi-final heat.

Japan’s Ryuichiro Sakai took first place with a time of 10.23s.

Another Malaysian, Khairul Hafiz Jantan, however, bowed out in the second semi-final heat when he finished 6th with a time of 10.50s.

The final will be held at 7.50pm Malaysian time. – Bernama, July 14, 2023
