FORMER Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has been informed of the details regarding the standard operating procedures (SOP) for the house arrest process.

Datuk Zamri Misman, Director-General of the Legal Affairs Division (BHEUU) at the Prime Minister's Department, stated that the details regarding the matter have already been conveyed by the Prison Department.

“The Prison Department has already informed Datuk Seri Najib of those details,” he said briefly during a press conference at Parliament today.

The press conference was also attended by the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law and Institutional Reform), Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.

However, Zamri did not elaborate further on the specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in question.

On September 19, Attorney General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar stated that the Prison Department was expected to issue SOPs for the implementation of house arrest for the former Pekan Member of Parliament in the near future.

He noted that the SOPs would detail aspects such as visitation, security controls, and the monitoring of Najib's movements. – October 7, 2026
