Bukit Gasing candidates trade barbs, while Khairy Jamaluddin surprises by stumping for BN in Bertam

TOMORROW is finally polling day, and Muda and Pakatan Harapan’s candidates for Selangor’s Bukit Gasing have been trading barbs online. After PH’s Rajiv Rishyakaran had joked about being younger than his Muda opponent V.K.K. Rajasekaran, the latter then appeared to aim a jibe at Rajiv’s “unhealthy life”.

In Penang, former Umno man Khairy Jamaluddin sprung a surprise when seen campaigning for Barisan Nasional’s Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican in Bertam – despite speculation the former health minister would join Bersatu.

Meanwhile, communications minister Fahmi Fadzil denies ordering the MCMC to block anyone on any platform, and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has submitted a proposal to the king to crack down on parties that exploit religious sentiments for their own agenda. – The Vibes, August 11, 2023
