SINGAPORE – Singapore will lift the health declaration requirement for travellers arriving via land checkpoints in particular for those who commute across the border daily for employment and studies, effective April 15.

On its website today, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said this is to provide greater convenience for fully vaccinated Singapore residents – citizens and permanent residents – and long-term pass (LTP) holders given the volume of traffic at these checkpoints.

However, they have to meet certain conditions, including for those who have been  vaccinated in Singapore, their vaccination status must be reflected in the TraceTogether and/or HealthHub apps.

Meanwhile, for those who get vaccinated outside the republic their vaccination record must be transmitted to the Singapore Health Ministry’s system upon their first entry.

Both categories must not have travel history to any country or region in the restricted category in the past seven days.

Since March 27, 2020, all travellers arriving in Singapore, including Singapore residents and LTP holders, must submit a health declaration before proceeding with immigration clearance.

The health declaration is to be submitted via the SG Arrival Card e-service, which is available on the ICA’s website or mobile application.

As for all other travellers arriving via land checkpoints, they are still required to submit their health declaration via the SG Arrival Card e-service within three days prior to their arrival in Singapore.

This includes non-fully vaccinated Singapore residents and LTP holders, and all short-term visitors, as well as all travellers who have travel history to any country or region in the restricted category in the past seven days, said the ICA.

It noted that the health declaration requirement continues to apply for all travellers, including Singapore residents and LTP holders, arriving via air and sea. – Bernama, April 13, 2022
