FONDLY known as 'The Little Bornean Birdie', Sarawak's Dion Das Louis will represent the country at the World Championship of Performing Arts 2024 at Long Beach, California, United States of America.

He was selected after winning the Junior Dance category at the Grand Final of the Malaysian Championships of Performing Arts 2024 which was held at Panggung Bandaraya in Kuala Lumpur last Saturday.

The eight-year-old won over the judges with his enchanting ethnic contemporary Ngajat dance which was inspired by hornbills and sparrows.

He won a gold medal and RM3,000 in scholarships and the right to represent Malaysia in the USA.

The  World Championship of Performing Arts will be held from June 28 to July 6. - The Vibes, January 29, 2024
