KUALA LUMPUR – Throngs of condolences have flooded social media today in memory of the late Siti Sarah Raissuddin from friends, fans and industry peers after the unfortunate news was shared by her husband, comedian Shuib Sepahtu and confirmed by her management, Indigital Music.
Siti Sarah’s passing came days after her father shared with the public that he was worried about the pregnant singer’s dire conditions after being unconscious while admitted in the ICU at the Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM) Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

The news of Siti Sarah’s death is an added blow to the reality of the pandemic and the nation's struggles to come to terms with it.
It also caught the attention of the Director General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, who he shared his condolences to her family, including other Malaysians who are dealing with the same plight.
The DG shared: “Condolences to the family of Siti Sarah Raissuddin and to all family members of Malaysians who have been killed by Covid-19”.
The singer who succumbed to Covid-19 is survived by her four children, Uwais Alqarni, 10, Dzahira Talita Zahra, 8, Ariq Matin, 6, and premature baby boy Ayash Affan, whom she delivered prematurely in a three-hour surgery on Friday, Aug 6 after having oxygen difficulties.
In an interview with The Vibes sister portal Getaran, the late singer’s husband shared the harrowing details of the medical emergency just a day ago.
It is learned that Siti Sarah’s body is still at the hospital for funeral arrangements, and is expected to be buried at Tanah Perkuburan Islam Sungai Pusu, Gombak at 1pm today. – The Vibes, August 9, 2021
