AFTER dominating the 95th Academy Awards earlier this week, Everything Everywhere All at Once is back in cinemas in Malaysia.

The multi-dimensional science fiction drama won a total of seven awards – the most at the show – including Best Picture, and Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh’s historical win as the first Asian actor to take home the Oscar for Best Actress

Major cinema operators GSC Cinemas and TGV cinemas announced the movie has returned to location across the country for those who have yet to see it or those who want to revisit it on the biggest screens possible.

GSC had already been screening Everything Everywhere as part of their ‘Oscar Return’ event timed with the awards show, and has show times scheduled until March 19, though more could always be added with increased demand.

Meanwhile, TGV’s offerings are limited to four cinemas, mainly in the Klang Valley and Ipoh, which is Yeoh’s hometown.

Other than Best Picture and Best Actress, Everything Everywhere also took home Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Original Screenplay, Best Editing, and Best Director.

Yeoh plays Evelyn Wang, a frazzled laundromat operator facing tax problems and an increasingly fractured family, who finds herself sucked into a battle across dimensions. – The Vibes, March 16, 2023
