THE Kampung Baru Gang is back in Season Two of the popular franchise, ‘KL Gangster: Underworld’ (KLGU), which premiered recently for Malaysians exclusively on WeTV.
Starring Beto Kusyairy, Dynas Mokhtar, Ezzaty Abdullah and Amerul Affendi, among others, the show is marked by never-ending gang wars, gruelling violence, and betrayals all set at iconic locations in Malaysia.
Shah and his family embark on more adventures in the streets of KL after the events of Season One and the ever-growing power struggle in the region in the nail-biting series which is produced by Skop Productions and directed by Khairul Azri as well as Faisal Ishak.
“It’s an honour to work with Khairul Azri and Faisal Ishak, seeing how they have brought their ideas to fruition in this renowned series. I find that this year’s instalment of KLGU, especially the choreographed fight scenes, have really pushed the limits of my mind and body as an actor, helping me improve my craft,” said Beto, who plays the lead.
Expect more focus on the deadly attacks among KL’s grittiest. It is now up to the main characters and their allies to uncover the face and true motives of their adversaries, and most importantly, fight for their survival.
“KL Gangster has been a household name since the first movie in 2011. Complemented by an interesting universe and lore, it remains as one of the most recognisable franchises in Malaysia,” added Beto.
Dubbed one of the most anticipated shows of 2020, KLGU Season Two continues to pave the way for local talents to showcase their skills and expertise to Malaysian and foreign audiences.
“WeTV’s vision for the future is for Malaysia to be known not only for their high quality movies and shows, but also for the outstanding actors and actresses that we produce. KLGU is one of the local productions that will be available exclusively on the WeTV platforms and one that we proudly brand as ‘Buatan Malaysia’,” said Aik Kuang Heng, country manager for WeTV Malaysia. – The Vibes, December 15, 2020
