KUALA LUMPUR – Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and death are commemorated again under the movement control order, imposed for the third time amid a surge in Covid-19 infections.

Wesak, which falls today, sees no congregational prayers and gatherings, with temples largely allowing only monks inside.

Nevertheless, the faithful have sent offerings and donations in advance, to be distributed to those in need.
